If You Never Start - You Can Never Finish - 3 Reasons Why People Do Not Start

In our everyday life, sometimes we wonder why we have not moved any farther forward than we have. We look around and find we have gone no where and can not figure out why.

One of the main reasons this happens is because we never really get started. By not taking the initiative to begin a task or project those tasks and projects often float from day to day waiting for a tomorrow that never comes.

Another important reason is that often we are unwilling to let go of what was to step into what is. Our past often keeps us from moving into the future. We get comfortable and dont want to rock the boat or upset the apple cart so to speak. This creates a stalemate in our lives we sometimes have difficulty overcoming. So we just sit back and do nothing.

To add to this lack of forward movement in our lives is the situation many face and that is the fact that we have so many unfinished projects or tasks that we get frustrated so they dont do anything. After a time we forget the importance of why we started these projects in the first place. So we start more projects that are fresher in our minds and seemingly more important at the time. Soon the lack of completion creates a state of confusion as well as frustration.

To move forward in our lives we must not only start but follow each project through to completion. Completing a project or task allows new things into our lives. It also make us feel good inside. Our room to grow gets bigger. And we find that when we look back we can see visible progress which in turn makes us happy.

An important tool to seeing the progress is to write down the things that you not only have started but also the projects and tasks you have completed. A journal is a useful way of keeping track of your process of growth. You should write down your successes everyday to create a clear path to look back on. Don't forget to celebrate in some way even the smallest successes whether they are starts or completions.
